OARC Launches New Melting Furnace

OARC invested USD 4 million in a fifth furnace and this time a melting holding furnace (120 ton) for recycling material for the casting. The project was successfully implemented, and we were able to operate the melting furnace from the beginning of the year as planned.

The first casting from the fifth furnace was done on March 17, and the first crucible intake was on March 19, 2022. We have casted about 1000 MT to date. 

Since first casting , the new melting furnace has ensured a significant increase in capacity. This 120 tons molten aluminum capacity furnace will increase the recycling and remelting capacity of OARC plant to 200,000 tons per year.

The expansion came in response to the growing global demand for flat aluminum products, especially after the OARC opened up to the European market.
